Hi everyone! Welcome to my stop on the hop! Winter Twinkle has been one of my favorite kits so far, because I LOVE to emboss! To have a kit designed around embossing is pure BLISS!
I've put a card together featuring one of the bigger stamps from the Sparkle and Shine set with Liquid Platinum embossing powder.
I hand cut a circle from two sheets of cardstock to create a bit of a window, then sandwiched some sequins between a vellum piece and white card stock from behind.
I've stamped an additional message using Sea Glass ink and added it plus some sequins to finish my card.
I've put together a video of the process.
Giveaway!!!

I first saw heat embossing when my sister had been to a stamping/crafting store to get things for her wedding invitations, we hand-made them. We didn't have a heat gun at first, we held the cards over the top of our empty but turned on toaster! lol
I first came in contact with heat embossing through friends at work who were already knee deep into this hobby. They were showing me some tricks for the "thank you"-cards I wanted to make after my wedding. I ended up heat embossing 60+ cards using tweezers and a toaster (!)....
I took a cardmaking class and was totally awed by heat embossing. I loved it from the minute I was introduced to it.
Love the platinum embossing powder. Such an elegant card!
This card is beautiful! This kit is totally amazing!
I learned to heat emboss many years ago. I am sure someone showed me about it but that was long time ago.

Your card is fabulous! I love the blues in this kit. Thanks for the chance to win.
I learned to heat emboss in a class at Archivers and loved the magical effect it created on my cards. I have experienced some frustration along the way but have learned to love embossing. Thanks for all your inspiration and I always love your cards and art journal projects.
You never fail to inspire me with your art journaling pages and especially cards. I first embossed at a SU event, we were shown how to do it but no explanations of what or how to do it. I never again used EP. That was about 12 yrs ago. I recently purchased EP and heat tool and after watching Jennifer MCG I began again and I love the magic of it. Its like WOW!!!
You just made me wanting go home and make some more cards. I love your cards and I want to make cards. NOW. Blue, grey and shine - what else do we need. Thanks for sharing. Ana
Great card! like the idea of vellum with sequins tucked in there. I do like that embossing powder.
I learned embossing two ways...first by watching the Carol Duval show and then I worked at a stamp store.

I love the color combination you used, Shari.Very elegant kit!
Super cool kit, and awesome card, as well! Thanks for a chance at this giveaway! I have a question, the other day I was embossing using Ranger's white embossing powder on Bazzill cardstock, and when I was done a part of the embossing powder disappeared, and only the colour left by the Versamark was left! Would that be because I over heated it?
very beautiful card! Thanks for the inspiration
What a beautiful card! Thanks for the inspiration.

Beautiful card! I'm sure someone taught me to emboss, but I don't remember who it was. I just remember heating the powder over an element on my stove many years ago and being amazed. A heat tool seemed like such a luxury, but it didn't take me long to cave in and buy one.

Hi Dima! Yes, sounds like it got over heated. When that happens I use a VersaMark pen to apply more ink to the area, sprinkle with more powder and heat again. Hope that helps!
These colors are so beautiful together. I just love the liquid platinum embossing powder look.

nice card..... great ideas.... thank you
What a beautiful card! My first heat embossing experience used a lightbulb as the heat source to melt the embossing powder. The true talent in that method is not scorching your paper!
Hope I'm not commenting the 5 times I'm trying to post. I first saw heat embossing at a SU demo many years ago, and I still find it magical every time.
Do you know what I like about this card? You don't need a lot of stuff. In fact just about everything (except adhesive) is in the card kit that's on it's way to me right now. Yay! Beautiful card. Loved the step by step video. I learned to heat emboss from a card workshop years ago, but rarely use the technique. I just never accumulated a lot of the powders and things. Glad all of that is in my kit so I can have some fun!

Yes, one of my best friends taught me how to heat emboss. I just couldn't get over how cool it was! I loved learning how to use the Versamark ink. But it was Jennifer McGuire's videos that taught me how to do the resist techniques and that's still one of my favorite!!!

Lovely card...nice kit as well
Shari, here's when I first saw heat embossing. My daughter invited me to go with her to a Stampin' Up! party. On one card we made, we had to heat emboss. Because I have neuropathy and burn all over, I was so scared of getting my fingers burned by the heat gun. I made the demonstrator hold the paper for me. Later, a friend and I went to Archivers' card making classes. I got practice heat embossing there. Finally, I bought my own gun. I love watching the embossed areas turn colors as the powder melts.
I loved this card. It's simple and elegant
Love your card! I learned to heat emboss by watching Kristina Werner! It's one of my favorite things to do on a card!
I first learned about heat embossing from a demo I saw at a craft fair. It was absolutely magical to see the powder bubble up into the final result. And even today, 20 years later, I still enjoy watching the transformation!
Lovely card

What a gorgeous card! I first learned how to do dry embossing and then a friend of mine sent me a card that used heat embossing. I immediately called her and told her she had to teach me how to do that! LOL That was probably about 10 years ago and I've been doing it ever since. I especially love to emboss on vellum.
So lovely! I've always had an issue with fire, so it took me a long time to not be afraid of a heat gun (weird, I know). Now I can't get enough of heat embossing. Still trying to find my favorite white fine detail, so appreciate the advice.
A cardmaking friend introduced me to embossing.
