The sweet Chaitali recently asked me to do a segment for Iron Craft where I answered questions in a face to face interview. We both created a card using the same stamp.
We both used the Hero Arts Market Flower background stamp. I used my Distress Mini's #1 on my craft sheet to lay down some color, then set my stamp in the ink to mix them together a bit. I misted the stamp with water and stamped onto Tim Holtz watercolor paper.
I love how the colors mix together! To finish things up I used the Simon Says Stamp Butterfly Friends stamp set and matching dies with Sunshine and Audrey Blue Inks.
Would you like to see my interview? Chester makes an appearance... Enjoy!

Very much enjoyed your interview with Chaitali and meeting Chester too LOL. I have subscribed to your blog today. You surely are a very talented lady and look forward to seeing more of your creations.
I love the color mix, love this technique and combined with the fun HA stamp, you ended up with a super card!! Good job with the interview!!
Terrific cards and interview with Shari! Love her work since forever . I started stamping in 1995 and I am grateful to Shari for all her ideas and development of products over the years. She is such a good teacher and nice lady. And Chester is pretty cool, too.
What a fun interview to watch! Both cards were wonderful! Congrats to Shari on becoming a grandma.
And, I think I began stamping about 1995.
Gorgeous card,Shari! And loved the interview!
Gorgeous!!!!
That was such a sweet and genuine interview. I was very drawn to listen. Thanks to both of you!
Loved the interview. I had an opportunity to take real classes from Shari when she came to Buffalo. She is a wonderful teacher. I started stamping in 1990. It started while I was at an education workshop in Newport. We walked into town and a card shop had a display in it. I found a Rose stamp and some gold ink that I wanted to stamp on the envelope of my mom and dad's golden anniversary invitation. Hope this answers Shari's question.
Wow, Shari! This card is spectacular! Brilliant! :-)
such a gorgeous card!
Love this card and you make watercolor look so easy.
This is GORGEOUS! Stunning!
Love your card and the interview was fun to watch!
I always admire your work Shari and this card is spectacular!!! Enjoyed the interview :-)
Stunning card, Shari, and I loved the interview!
I enjoy your interview so much. I started my stamping in the early 90's. I could remember the first I walked into a stamp store and was so shocked that you can make your own card. Yes, the embossing is the first thing I learned too.
Thanks for the video and your card is BEAUTIFUL.
Nice to meet you ladies. Very informative, love your work Shari. Chester,- oh my, - reminds me of my childhood pet. Thanks Chaitali for the interview. I started stamping in 2007.
Regards
Joe-Anne
