Floating Window Card...

... with Faux Letter Press was a hit at one of my recent classes.  This card can be adapted to suit any ocassion, even the Holidays!!!

The store owner at my local store asked me to incorporate Design Adhesives and Foils (my first time trying these)... and Oh My do they work well on acetate!!!

Faux Letter Press is easy, just ink up your embossing folder with SHADOW ink (because it works the best), put your paper in the folder and run it through your machine.  Viola! This technique inks the valleys of the embossed paper.  So cooool!!!

To finish things off... I added a colorful butterfly and a few pearls.

Enjoy!

Love the new look of your blog, Shari. Although I do miss seeing your smiling face at the top! Gorgeous card! Just love the way the vine looks in the window and the faux letter press turned out beautifully! See you in about a week, at Scrapfest. . .can't wait! :)

Shari, you are so right about the shadow inks working best for the faux letterpress technique.
I tried the catseye chalk, adirondack and distress. None gave even coverage and the adirondack was way to dark. Hope to post what I
created soon.

Wow - this is so beautiful. Love the crisp finish using the shadow inks with the embossing folders - I've only used distress inks which give a "messy" look. And love that pp punched butterfly.
