how to post on my blog.

And then, just when I was ready....my internet, phone and cable went out for a day. Insert huge sigh and GASP!

Okay, so back at it. Some of you might have seen my holiday ornament on the Hero Blog, I decided to post it here and give you a bit more detail.

And here's a close-up

Instructions:
I put spots of Diamond Glaze on the backside of the acrylic flower, pressed on text paper, let it dry then pulled it off. I then tore circles of a mottled pattern paper and glued them over the text. When the Diamond Glaze was dry, I rubbed the back of the paper pieces with water to remove the bulk. When I was happy with my layering, I glued a piece of pattern paper that I had cut in the shape of the flower to the back.

I stamped the front with the Holly Flourish with White StazOn, then used Stickles over the entire image.

I punched a hole with my Crop-O-Dile in the top and strung ribbon. I then added (with Glue Dots) ribbon, paper flowers and buttons to adorn the top left.

So are you all ready for Christmas? I'm not, I've got to get some shopping done STAT. I've been dragging my heels.

Sorry for not being a good blogger, I have a News Years resolution in the works to combat that.

Have a happy safe winter-y day!

Gorgeous Dec Shari :) Layered, textural and muted with the beutifully deep purple ribbon in contrast - as alays, I lurve what you've made.

Sorry to be smug but I've done my Xmas shopping & am mostly prepared for the holidays :) Helped in the main by ordering a good chunk of the stuff from Amazon instead of traipsing around the shops.

Have a lovely Christmas & all the best for the New Year. I'm lookng forward to seeing what projects you'll make in it :)
