I spoke too soon

Ok, been a bit blah lately.......you know that woman's intuition thing I mentioned in my last post? I had another epiphany, this time regarding my skin. Yeah, had my yearly body check done a couple months ago, but at that time the spot in question had healed. It returned recently, so I busted my rear and got right in to the dermo....this time only a Basal Cell Carcinoma (the most minor type). The good news is that it was completely excised. So, now that I've had two types of skin cancer I will need to get checked every three months. I know I'll be fine, just gotta watch out for changes.

Enough of the downer icky stuff.

Today could have been the last day to create cards for the 2009 Hero catalog. I'll know by the weekend if we're done or not. We get to a point where it's day to day assignments, to fill in gaps. I think this will be a wonderful collection, like I said before, the best stamps to come across my desk in all my time with Hero. Love it!

I will be the lead on the Hero Blog starting next Monday. I'm working on all my ideas, projects and (3)videos this week cuz I'll be in California most of next week. It's all about techniques, so please join me.

That's about all the news I've got for you for now. Please go out and vote!
I'll leave you with a quick shot I took the other day of "slight" fall colors.
Cheers!
Shari

Crossed fingers for your continued improving health and that you sail through your future tests. Cancer scares, no matter how minor, must be incredibly stressful and upsetting.

Really looking forward to seeing these new stamps you mention and pleased to know I can get my fix of "Shari's artwork" next week. Can't wait to see what you're gonna come up with.

Exciting day for you over there (& the world I guess knowing that whoever wins will affect the globe)

Have a great day Shari

Hi Shari, Just sending hugs after your skin ordeal......I know it's scary. But you're doing the right thing by keeping on top of it.

I can hardly wait to see the new Hero stamps!! If you love them, I will too!

In the meantime, having you host next week will be fun! So looking forward to it. This week is fun also - my goal is to try and do a card for each honoree. It helps me to see another person's viewpoint, and that's always a good thing!

Keep listening to your intuition Shari! I'm glad you went right to the doctor. My mother has had the same type of skin cancer removed from her arm. Now she has a new patch on her hand that she is suspicious of, but after calling 2 different dermatologists the closest appointment is in December.ergh!

On a happier note, great to hear that you are on the Hero Arts blog next week! I am always inspired by your work. Take care of yourself:)

Hi Shari, I'm glad to hear your woman's intuition kicked in again. I'm having my annual physical on Monday. I'm going to insist I get a skin cancer check. I've never had one. Thanks for the reminder! Glad you're doing OK. I love your work and your HA videos.

Aloha, Shari! Glad your intuition paid off and you'll be on top of future derma visits. Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! I can't stress that enough and we all take the sun for granted but UV rays are creeping through even on cloudy days. Take good care!

Can't wait for the '09 catalog!! Talk about having "ants in my pants"......!
