Happy 2008......It can only get better!

Have you ever had a time in your life where you just want to ignore your responsibilities? I did....I needed a weeee bit of a break and so I didn't blog.....because....

A few days before Christmas I got a call from a cousin in Idaho, I was all chipper thinking she was giving me Holiday cheer.....NOT......she had to tell me my uncle had died and that they couldn't get a hold of my mom. I felt so bad as I called my mom at work to tell her of her brother. The days that followed were those of wanting to fly out there only to realize that weather and Holiday travelers may hinder the plans.

But life has a way of working...

The day of my uncles funeral we got a call from my sister...my brother-in-law had suffered from an aneurysm and was in a coma. The next morning we got a call from Tom's sister informing us that his Aunt had passed on. And later that day...my brother in law was taken off life support. I suppose I needed to be home to receive the calls and to offer support.

I'm okay, just exhausted from the emotions and the cold that I've conjured up. I didn't want to be a bummer and write about sad things, but this is a place for me to journal so there it is.

I finally looked at my wood and rubber last night trying to decide on my class projects that are coming up soon. I've got to plan for a class and make&take for CHA, two classes for Hobby Stitches (UK), and 4 classes that I'll be teaching after the show in the UK. Also, I need to get more information on what to demonstrate when I make my television appearance. That'll snap the wind from your sails! HA!

So back to stamping I go, quietly creating, and carrying on with life.

Cheers my friends to 2008!!!
:o)

I am so sorry to hear your sad news Shari. I spent New Year with a friend who is suffering from cancer. We had sad news today that it has spread, so I feel like you...I want to lock myself away from the world.

Where are you demonstrating in the UK ? I met you at Creative Pastimes when you were in the UK last year.

Best wishes

So sorry you had so many deaths and problems around the holidays. It seems to magnify whatever is going on that isn't fun and uplifting. I am glad that you were able to be there for so many people. Hope that 2008 turns out to be better for you.
