I built me a photo light box....

sorta like this one, but obviously mine needs a bit more work. I'm going to hunt for different light bulbs tomorrow, probably halogen. But it's a start...

You see, I'm in search of a way to photograph my work besides scanning and taking shots of them outside....(impossible in the winter!). They always look much better photographed, and I'm happy with this (so far).

The card is an older one that I made, but I still like it! I cut the card in the shape of a flower, stamped the "love U" onto beige paper, trimmed and mounted to the card. I stamped the hearts in a circle pattern (they are acrylic originally in a straight line, but I curved them on the block). I finished it up with a button and ribbon.

I've been cleaning my office getting ready for catalog season...purging my junk scraps and reorganizing to re-introduce myself to my supplies....I tend to forget about things that I have.

I think I'll play with some of my PaperArtsy stamps tomorrow, love the altered stuff. I'll share what I come up with!
:o)

Great result with the light box.

Love the card Shari! Have you tried using 2 lights (one either side) for the lightbox? That usually makes the lighting more even and counteracts any shadows. Hope that helps! Your shot looks great though!

Thanks Rachel, You're knowledge is priceless. I've got lots of playing around to do with this. I've also figured out it's best to do this when the room is dark. :o)
