Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog. If you've come here by way of the Simon Says Stamp blog, we're having a hop! I love die cutting...and I love awesome dies! To celebrate Simon Says Stamp's DieCember™, I've created a few dies that can be used all year round. There's nothing like versatile supplies!
Here are a few of my favorites!
Ok, so I went with some pink and coral tones for my cards... I know...Shari used pink? Lol!
I've done three cards in total. The first one is using the roses as a white on white background and a couple colored with Coral Reef and Willow inks.
I love the look of the texture the roses create! I die cut "Friends" from the Family and Friends set, I just colored the bottom portion of the word with Coral Reef ink.
This next one uses the Stacked Hearts die which creates the fine line frame and little hearts. I watercolored a quick background using Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks on
Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock. I die cut two of the Stacked Hearts and glued them together for dimension.
I painted a few of the hearts and used a little bit of foam tape to lift them up on the card and mounted everything together.
Finally, I have the Heart of Roses... my favorite! When I designed this die, I wanted a heart that can be used in many ways. This would be great as a shaker card or even cut it from watercolor paper and paint it... you could use glitter or even glitter paper!
I painted a simple background of stripes, again using the Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks. I die cut three of the hearts, left them white and glue them together to put over the watercolor panel.
The hop today is informal, you can go to any blog in any order that you wish. below is a list of the creative people who are participating.
