Taking Steps to Organize!

One of the things that I don't like... is this tornado of a mess my space gets. No matter how much I try to keep up with picking up after myself, it always turns out like this.
I'm not proud... it is what it is!

If you look to the left, you'll see my Simon Says Stamp card kit boxes stacked up. They are so high, I have to move the top two to get to the light switch. I love these boxes... but with a small office, I really need to get in the habit of putting the goodies away each month to save space.

So... I tackled 15 boxes.

And got the contents down to this!

But mostly, I figured out a way to store the 6x6 papers that are always included
in the month card kits.
Clear bags!!!

Now, I can store my 6x6's with my other pads! Yay me!

These are baby steps I'm taking to a clean and organized creative space. I'll update as I go along and share tips when I find them. For now, check out the bags I have below,  they are so simple and yet so effective.

Enjoy!

You're getting there! I totally know how that "tornado" feeling. Mine needs cleaning, purging and organizing soooo bad right now too - problem is, I have no time! Looking forward to seeing more tips and ideas! ♥

So glad I'm not the only one. Too busy creating to tidy up. Great idea on the bags with the loose sheets. Hugz

I've only been crafting since November last year and already I'm starting to feel overwhelmed by the stuff I have, so I can't imagine how you feel! Great organisation. I'll be back to see how you get on for more tips! Xx

I love organizing tips. I just cleared out my craftroom as I'm going to move. The amount of stuff amazed me! I gave loads away and organized the rest.
Good luck with your room.

Creativity creates "mess" or a "fire hazard" as my husband has sometimes called it. LOL! He is teasing and knows there is no help for it. I do donate lots to the church rummage sale once a year and this helps somewhat. Organization is the key and not my strong point so I appreciate all the tips I can get.

Been there, still there!!! Whenever I get a package of goodies, I'd like to keep them together for a while too, and had to bring them apart to store them with the alike afterwards! The clear bag idea is fabulous! Looking forward to see the next episode! ;)

Crafting rooms can get a little out of control, but that's all part of the fun. We all go through it. Luckily for me, I'm one of those people who enjoys cleaning. It's so nice to see a visual difference after all of the hard work.

Also, thank you for the ClearBags mention. I hope that our bags continue to work out well for you.

Thanks for sharing that you and I have something in common besides our love of paper crafting!

We moved last year, and I, too was collecting SSS boxes . . . about 3 months ago I tackled my boxes and have vowed to play with and put away my kit each month before the next kit arrives . . . so far, so good. I am glad to see that I am not the only one with such challenges!
