Balance Art Journal Page

Each month I do a journal page for Simon Says Stamp... and Oh did I ever enjoy this one... it was just me being one with the Gelato's... BLISS!

Paint stroke lines were created by Gesso-ing the white page first.

White on white with Embossing Paste.

And for your viewing pleasure...

Here are a few key pointers about Gelatos's.
  • Soft creamy crayon watercolor in a lip balm type holder
  • Blends together easily... fingers encouraged!
  • Can be erased with a regular eraser
  • A water brush or wet paintbrush can be used to soften the color
I sealed my circles with Studio Matte Medium so they wouldn't rub and transfer color when my journal is closed.

Thanks for hanging out with me!!!

I got to play with Gelato's for the first time last. And of course I had to pick some up. I love what you did with them, maybe I can do a little something with them to make a birthday card for my son.

This is just AMAZING Shari. I always look forward to see you create Mixed media. Just a question: what kind of book do you use to create the journal? Thanks!

So beautiful.........love how the Gelatos blend so well! Also would like to know what kind of paper is best to use with the Gelatos? Did you use watercolor paper?

I'm working on getting a full set of Gelatos....I just love the way they act/react with stamps (particularly clear stamps) and paper! Have only played a bit but they have whetted my desire to play more.

This is just gorgeous! I admire this so much and I have all the products that you used pretty much except I only have about 6 or so gelatos. I would love to try this out.

Hugs,
Jo
