Say hello to my little friend!

This is my new sleep friend....my full mask and CPAP machine.  Let the fun begin!!! I wonder what this will do to my DOO in the morning...haha. I know it will take some time getting used to it, but here I go...I'm on my way.  Oh.. and day 17= 0 smokes.  :o)

On another note.  We received terrible news today.  We lost someone very special in the stamping industry this week-end.  Our very courageous, gentle giant, man of will and great friend Mike Han lost his battle with brain cancer over the week-end.  Mike is the owner of Clear Stamp..."the man" that brought Hero Arts clear stamps to market.  He was the friendliest, strongest, most generous man I've known, he had a smile as big as Texas and a handshake made of iron.  He was a mans man as well as ladies man, loved by all.  He will be missed.  I am very saddened.  Blessings to his family and friends.

I'll be back in a day or two with some CHA sneaks...shhhhh.
Enjoy your day!

Hi Shari,

Love your new CPAP and hope it helps you get the sleep you deserve! Great job going 17 days with no smoking!

Such sad news today. Mike sounds like a wonderful man. He gave so many of us joy with his wonderful stamps. His family and all of you at Hero Arts will be added to my prayers. Big hugs!

Hi Shari - congrats on getting your CPAP - I have one too. The first night I used it I slept for 7.5 hours STRAIGHT - what a miracle. Yes, it's a little awkward, and at times a little annoying, but a good night's sleep is worth ALL of that. Hope it goes well for you, too!

So very sorry to hear that Mike lost his battle.......

And hoping that your new friend will give you lots of good sleeps - and congrats on your battle to kick the smoking habit - you GO, girl!

My husband had to use one. It only lasted a few days. The first night, I hyperventilated because I found my self breathing in tune with the sound of the machine. My hubby's nose was too deviated to be able to use it. He had surgery to repair it and rarely snores now. Thank my sweet Lord for that. I have a friend that can't sleep without. I hope it helps you get better sleep.

I love my CPAP!!!! I cursed it for about a week and cried and stomped my foot but now it's absolutely my bestest friend! LOL You will love the sleep once you've gotten used to the mask. Oh yes....the hair. Not a good. It's a constant battle but oh well, I love my sleep.
Soooo sorry to hear about Mike. I never knew him or even heard of him until I read your post. He sounded like a wonderful man. Blessings to his family.

You'll love your morning do, trust me. NOT! It takes about a week to get adjusted, my nose bled for a few days but it did stop and haven't needed the water/humidifier at all in the past year! It helps me to put a pillow over my head to drown out the noise. Good luck! And all the best for quitting the smokes!

Hi Shari,

I was so sad to hear of Mike's passing. I'm praying for his family and friends.

It'll be an adjustment to the machine, but SO worth it!

And congrats on still being smoke free! Keep up the great work!

So sad to hear of another death to the dreadful C - it affects too many families (ours included).

Good luck with the CPAP and congrats with giving up the ciggies - just keep remembering why you decided to stop!

I'm proud of you for giving up the smokes. I can personally attest to how difficult it is!!! But 17 days is AWESOME...and you CAN do it!

See you at CHA next week! :)

Hi Shari, just wanted to wish you well with your CPAP machine. I was diagnosed last year with sleep apnoea and have a CPAP machine. I was so not looking forward to wearing that when I went to bed, but with some perciverance and trying different masks, eventually I got used to it.

I love your work and creations and reading your blog. Best wishes to you from here in England. Louise. X

So sorry to hear about the loss of Mike. Prayers of blessing to his family. Congrats on the non-smoking!! Keep at it, just one day at a time (sometimes an hour at a time!) My sister finally did it over a year ago? (After multiple attempts). Hang in there, friend, and don't give up! My hubby also had a ResMed CPAP; he wasn't so severe, so not sure it helped much (main problem is sleep deprivation). My father-in-law recently got a CPAP; he seems to like it, but they didn't use ResMed... went with another company that came to their house. I guess it's more of a nasal cannula type thing, and he doesn't notice it at all! My MIL slept so well the first night she said. Hope it gets better for you soon!
