Counting the days

I've been working hard on my workshop cards for my upcoming trip to the UK, just finished them up tonight.  Now to make sure I have everything cut for the kitting process.  I've been cutting the pieces as I go, but have changed my mind on a few cards.  I'm excited and yet nervous for QVC.  I still have a bunch of things to prepare before I leave next Friday, it's hard to pack everything you want, but can only take what you need.

Here's a sample of another workshop "box" card. This is not my original construction idea, I found the box card on a blog, but for the life of me, I can't find it again to give credit to the originator.  Sorry bout that.

I'm in a numb state....got word that mom now has small tumors in her brain and that chemo has not been effective.  I have no words.....I just want to crawl under the covers to make it all go away.  More tests need to be run, but for now she will have radiation to relieve the issues of double vision.  I can't get down to see her until April, but will have another work trip that month as well.  sigh....... Sorry to be a downer, you all have been great in asking how mom is doing, I'm praying hard and cursing cancer.  blah!

I'll be back in a few days with some card ideas using our new woodblock stamps (have to prep for my demo and will sneak a few shots).  :)

Enjoy the long week-end if you have one.....oh and Happy Valentines day!

Oh Shari, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom's health concerns right now. I'll pray for her, too. It has got to be eating away at you that you can't get over to be with her, but you know that she knows you care so much about her, Shari. I'm sure your cards bring BIG SMILES to her face. Love, Karen xo
