My Hero Blog projects from this week.

Waaahooooooo!
Life has been a whirlwind. I was in Houston last weekend teaching an all day class with a great group of retailers. I had a blast but when I got home, all I heard about was the swine flu. I'm feeling fine, so let's not worry is my response.

Also in the mix of things was my blog week. I did a theme of "April showers bring May flowers".

Here's some of my favorites....

Monday I did some bright flowers with pattern papers (My Minds Eye).

Tuesday I toyed with some shapes cut from my Silhouette...fun, fun fun!!!

Here's a quick Mother's Day shape card.

And on Wednesday I did a little White on White canvas, I've got to do more of these, they're addicting!!!

Oh, and I shot a video of the collage canvas that you can watch.

I'll be back in a few days, I'm going to take a breather and enjoy some SPRING weather!

Word! :o)

There is a reason why I love Spring and Nature

It's so beautiful watching the new moms take care of their young. This gal was being so patient with us Humans as we were taking snaps. Just lovely!!!

Here's a fun challenge!

I used my favorite stamp of all time, and a sketch from Card Positioning Systems. Of course I also used my favorite technique of mixing the inks on a craft sheet, dabbing the stamp into the ink, misting with water and stamping. I hand cut the circle so I could go around the stamped flourish.

For more details and other examples, check out this post on the Hero Blog.

Enjoy!

I'm on a roll....

I had a chance to play a bit today, so I worked on a request from Barbara. She asked what I would do with swirly type chipboard. This is what I've come up with.

I painted the chipboard with an Espresso Paint Dabber from Ranger (such a yummy dark brown). Then I found some of my stash of Prima flowers (totally forgot about them) and a photo I took last summer of an important looking train over by Ellis Island, NJ. Fun quick card, mostly papercrafting except for the stamped message.

Enjoy the day!

Easter is nearly here...

So I thought it would be fun to make up some goody bags for my niece and other older kids. Easy stamping here, just white StazOn on the bags. I used scraps of papers from My Mind's Eye Bloom and Grow collection and got the little bags from Emma's Paperie.

I love using my Glossy Accents to add paper to the back of clear buttons!

I did a little sewing (cuz I like it) and made a circle scallop top which is folded over the bag.

A close-up of the stamping on the bag, it's quite effective.

Enjoy!

What a mess...

I'm going to be under construction again....I've lost my titles in my codes....gonna redo, sorry bout this!

Almost Done...well sorta

Okay, so I've got my blog near to completion, I'm not sure if I like this new template, but it will just have to do for now. I was able to get it rigged so I can post an email from my phone, got my Facebook all hooked up with my email too, now I just need to add some awesome artwork! I picked up some yummy goodies while in Boston last week-end and I might even have a play day tomorrow!

Oh, and if you all could do me a favor, please take my poll on the right, I'd like to see what type of stamps you all like to use. Thanks!!!

Enjoy the day!

Forgive the mess

I'm revamping my blog, changing the template, not sure what I've gotten myself into but please forgive the mess, I hope to be done shortly.
