I'm HOME

Just got back from Mom's this evening.  I had a wonderful visit.  She is in great spirits and I feel confident that she has a great team of doctors.  Here's a picture I snapped of her this morning.... (shes' gonna beat me for posting this...lol)

Love her!

While I was there, she put me in the back bedroom...and in the windowsill of the bathroom, I found this......

This is so funny to me because it's a pot I made in ceramics class at Laguna...probably my sophomore year of high school.

I didn't work on the wheel much as I liked to do sculptures more... I didn't do so bad.

But there on the bottom along with my initials is my signature emblem of the times....the lightning bolt.   So surfer like.  This warmed my soul to see my early artwork still displayed by a proud mom.  (bathroom or not!)

Enjoy!
Shari

Shari, so glad you posted your Mom's picture!! And your pot is looking good! That's something I'd like to try......I've collected salt-glazed pottery for years, but never considered trying it on my own. Hmmmmmm.....

She looks good! So glad your trip went well. Love the ceramics. I have a few hidden away from high school. (Certainly not as well formed as yours) Prayers to you and your mom.

How wonderful to see a picture of your mother! I'm thrilled to hear that she is positive! Your ceramic pot is fabulous - I don't blame your mum for keeping it - proud mum or not :)

I loved this little story about your mom and the little ceramic pot. I am always sentimental about projects from my past and the feelings they revive the past.

Gosh your Mom looks GREAT, Shari. I know that she isn't in the best of health right now, but it's a very LOVELY photo of her. She must adore you.........and your little clay pot is precious, too. Doesn't it just bring back memories of a time long ago? I'm sure your life was filled with other concerns and not the health of your Mom as it is now. Prayers for both of you, Shari. Thanks for sharing your world. Love, Karen
