I can finally Share

Remember that canvas I started a while back? .... I can finally share it with you all. Hero Arts teamed up with QuicKutz for a little blog swap, this is the project I did with my Silhouette, total yumminess!

Here's a little closer look.

I started with a blank canvas and added layers of torn book text, then added an adornment which I cut, you can see it better here. I built up more layers by adding torn and wrinkled tissue paper (was really fun).

I cut some diamonds from the Silhouette, I stamped and white embossed old script on those before I attached them to the canvas, I added a little more tissue on top.

From there I add the Verse then the leaves and flower which are white embossed with images. To top it off I added a Crystal Knob (7gypsies) and ribbon.

This is an easier project than it looks, my objective was to create a background that looked like stone, the wrinkled tissue paper worked wonders for this.

If you haven't visited the HeroArts blog this week, there is still time to win some fantastic QK giveaways....I'll start you out with Mondays Post HERE.

And I'm thrilled because Kerri Bradford highlighted my canvas on her blog here. So fun!

Thanks and Enjoy!
Shari

Shari you are wonderful! I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out what to do for a co-worker of my hubby's wedding day.

We don't exchange gifts but I wanted to give the couple more than a card and this idea was a lifesaver. Thank you for sharing all of your talent and fantastic creations!

Thanks,
Mary
