Hi everyone, I'm sorry if I've been going on about the cold climate we're experiencing here in Illinois....it's a very UN-usually cold winter this year.

So today it was -16, and we decided to do the "throw the hot water outside trick". I video taped it for you to see. Oh and by the way, I mention my dog but she never ended up making an appearance on camera, she stayed by my feet.

Enjoy!

Cool, it's amazing to see just how cold it really is. Our winters are fairly moderate here (Australia) so even in areas that do get snow it's seldom ever that cold.

That is so cool! No pun intended. ;) I MUST try this. Now. It's "only" -2 here right now though...wonder how cold it needs to be? I should wait until morning and impress the kids. Thanks Shari and Tom! :) Stay warm!

Blimey you do have a LOT of snow there right now!!! We get an inch of it here and it throws our little country into a panic haha. Never heard of this trick before (no surprise as I live in the land of the rain) so it was fascinating to watch & Yay, Tom has a cameo haha. BTW loved the hidden pocket video - you're really having fun with these now :)

Not jealous of the temp,, but the snow is beautiful, we rarely see it here in North Carolina. I had no idea water would do that!

Oh wow...my kids loved that one! We're at -3...a bit warmer than you, but we're gonna give it a try.

Thanks for sharing!!!

You would fit right in here--the coldest part of Alaska. Knowing how to enjoy winter fun is what it is all about! You have earned the EXTREME badge!

That is too cool, Shari! Although I wouldn't want to be in -15 weather to do that. Keep warm!

Wow, that's way too cold. I'm freezing here so I don't think I could handle living where hot water can't even survive.

I shared your vid on my facebook profile. Too cool!
