It's finally Spring

March 20th is a welcomed date around here. We've had a very tough cold winter. The signs of spring revealed themselves this week, Robbins were sited!!!

Tom and I had a chance to walk around the outside of the house yesterday, checking things out, seeing how everything fared through the frigid temps. We counted the praying mantis pods, looks like we've got about 15. I'll be trimming the branches to share a few pods with friends. We love keeping them around, they eat bugs and are very cool to look at.

I've changed my blog header, not sure if I like it. It's more valentines looking than spring, but hey, I totally missed valentines day this year (our special dinner was served to us by a stewardess on our way over the pond) so I suppose it will just have to do for now.

I've been getting ready for another trade show next week in Boston. This will be my last for a couple months. Hero has come out with new stamps which we will release there, so samples have been made as well as my other monthly web commitments.

Seems like there is no time for fun these days. I was gone most of February, and for some reason, I wanted to clean my house...and that I did...I think I had spring fever...I've been wearing shorts, my little winter protest. I'm in denial of the actual temperatures. :o)

I hope this post finds everyone well and as happy as I am on this first day of SPRING!
I'm leaving you with a card that I did for the hero Catalog that wasn't utilized. Enjoy!

Praying Mantis is my favorite insect! I have loved them since I was a kid, but I have to say I have never seen a pod! What do they look like? Maybe I have some but didn't know it! :-) And yes, I love the card too! It is so pretty!

Hi Shari! I LOVE your acetate card. And the colors are FAB!

Sorry I've been absent to long. I've been working on my new website for the store. It's finally finished so maybe I can join the land of the living once again!
